The Center for Transformative Education, an educational initiative launched by staff members of Abraham's Vision in 2008, is an innovative educational center aimed at creating academic and practical programs to transform societies into their potential. Utilizing the expertise that Abraham's Vision has gained in the fields of experiential education and conflict transformation, CTE conflict transformation and resolution educational models are rooted in western and local-cultural methodologies of working with groups in conflict, thereby creating a groundbreaking organic model of facilitation that can be used in any conflict setting.
Our programs' goals are to:
(1) educate students about social relations between and within communities, including issues such as identity, social inequalities, and power relations.
(2) educate students about locals' cultures and traditions as related to conflict transformation.
(3) train students to be professional facilitators to work with groups in conflict.
(4) empower students to mobilize their communities to practice just alternatives to the status quo.
